Emmy Monash Foundation

The creation of the Emmy Monash Foundation is essential to ensure the sustainability of the organisation for years to come. The purpose of the future fund is to ensure the facility maintains its superior status, to attract and retain quality staff, and to allow unique and large-scale projects that advance our care services to be implemented.

Government support is not enough to enable our vision, with two out of three aged care providers operating at a loss. It is vital that we come together as a community to guarantee the future of Emmy Monash. With the establishment of a robust Foundation, we can face any challenge with confidence.

Eighty years ago, Emmy Monash was founded and built by a group of inspiring women. Our success to date can be attributed to the community who have supported us through every stage of our growth. It is important that the community continues to invest in
Emmy and secure our future.

All money raised for the Emmy Monash Foundation will support projects approved by the Board of Directors and in line with the Foundation’s investment guidelines.

The endowment fund we are creating will ensure Emmy Monash remains a leader in aged care for many years to come.

The key areas of investment for the Foundation include:

  • Education and training to attract and retain a highly professional workforce
  • Environmentally friendly practices through the introduction of new technologies
  • Innovative and sustainable systems to enhance service delivery
  • Financial assistance for concessional (low income) residents
  • Enhancement of buildings and interiors for continued exceptional facilities
  • Leading clinical care practices and programs

Foundation membership

Without investment from our community, the unique Emmy experience cannot be sustained. It is our responsibility to plan for our community’s future.

Our residents deserve a meaningful life. Our residents are entitled to innovative clinical care by the best trained people and in the most engaging and meaningful way.

As we begin a new era, we warmly welcome you to join us and become part of the Emmy Monash Foundation.

Your pledge, or individual endowment to support a specific project, can be across a maximum of five years with equal annual payments and customised to ensure a meaningful investment in the future of the senior Jewish community of Melbourne.

All donations to Emmy Monash are fully tax deductible. All money raised for the Emmy Monash Foundation will support projects approved by the Board of Directors and in line with the Foundation’s investment guidelines.

Benefits of Foundation membership include the following:

  • Naming rights of an area in line with the amount committed
  • An invitation for you and your family to join us for an afternoon tea once signage has been installed, at your
    selected location
  • Recognition on a dedicated Foundation Membership honour board and a leaf on our Tree of Life in Gandel House
  • Complimentary respite care, for you or a loved one, subject to availability and at a maximum of three weeks each calendar year.

Naming Rights

By naming a space at Emmy Monash, you have a special opportunity to join the visionaries before us and make a real difference to the lives of residents, today and tomorrow, with your generous contribution.

A range of naming rights commencing from $25,000 are available, these include but are not limited to:

  • Residential rooms and suites
  • Multipurpose activity rooms
