october 7th commemoration
On 7 October, our community came together for a powerful and deeply moving commemoration.
We were honoured to welcome Idan Goldberger from Sheba Medical Centre as our guest speaker, sharing reflections and stories that resonated deeply with all in attendance. Rabbi Ronnie Figdor OAM led us in prayer, resident John Kraus recited the Kaddish, and Isaac Itescu’s uplifting violin performance added a beautiful musical moment.
A meaningful candle-lighting ceremony was led by Naama Neeman and resident Ruth Figdor, who lit two candles in memory of those who lost their lives and all those affected by the events of October 7 and the Bondi tragedy.
We remember the victims, the hostages, and all those impacted by October 7. May their memories be a blessing, and may we continue to stand together in reflection, remembrance and unity.
