The lead-up to Rosh Hashana has been jam-packed with festive events and activities. Brett Kaye and kindergarten children from Gandel Besen House brightened everyone’s day with a wonderfully sweet performance of Rosh Hashana songs. There may have been about 90 years between the participants and our residents but the closeness they forged through song, laughter and stories was magical. The students participate in our Safta program which is celebrating its 5th year anniversary this year. This program is our pride and joy at Emmy. The children then visited Safta Irene's room. In the words of their teacher, “Safta Irene’s walls say a lot about how much she cherishes her relationship with our Mount Scopus children and educators for the last 5 years”. A lot of love and laughter were shared between Safta Irene and her kinder friends.
